1. Information We Collect

DecisionTrail collects the following information to provide our services:

• Email address (upon registration and login)
• Voice recordings (audio you record when creating a decision journal entry)
• Transcribed text (generated from your voice recordings)
• Category and mood tags you select for each entry

2. How We Use Your Information

• User authentication and account management
• Converting your voice memos into text for your personal journal
• Storing your journal entries so you can review them later
• Service improvement and technical issue resolution

3. Voice Data and Speech Recognition

DecisionTrail uses Apple's built-in Speech Recognition framework (the same on-device/system-level technology used by Siri dictation) to convert your voice recordings into text. This processing occurs through Apple's system APIs. We do not send your voice data or transcripts to any third-party AI service (such as OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, or similar providers). Your voice recordings and transcripts are used solely to create your personal journal entries.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your personal information, voice data, and journal entries are stored securely on Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Firestore). Your data is accessible only through your own account and is never shared with other users.

5. Third-Party Services

DecisionTrail does not sell your personal information to third parties. We use the following third-party service to operate:

• Google Firebase (authentication and data storage)

We do not use any third-party AI or analytics services to process your voice data or personal journal content.

6. Data Deletion

You may delete your account at any time directly within the app (Settings → Delete Account). Upon deletion, all personal data, voice recordings, and journal entries are permanently removed from our systems. You may also contact us at contact@jonginvest.com to request deletion.
